Roosevelt High School Cafeteria

Wednesday, Nov. 28th, 2001 Open house 6:00-7:30 p.m.,   Scoping meeting 7:30-8:30 p.m.

The Seattle School District is holding a meeting at RHS on  November 28 in the cafeteria to discuss the purchase of  land to the south of RHS and other potential renovation  options, and how that will affect an Environmental Impact Statement. Four alternatives are being considered at this  time, and potential site plan concepts are being developed.   The School Board has not yet identified a preferred  alternative. The alternatives include: Redevelopment with no site expansion,  Redevelopment with expansion and vacation of NE 66th St.,  Redevelopment with expansion and relocation of NE 66th  Street, and  The No Action Alternative.  This alternative would not  result in any changes at the site; no new facilities would  be constructed and no renovations would occur.

Comments may be made at the meeting 11/28, or written  comments may be submitted on the scope of the Environmental  Impact Statement through December 13, 2001. Writen comments  should be sent to: John Richmond, Environmental Officer probably at this address: Seattle School District  4141 Fourth Avenue South  Seattle, WA  98134
