06/11/02 Yesterday at our latest RHS Design Team meeting we continued to review the two schemes as they relate to the program created by the RHS Design Team. It was apparent that Scheme B had the most elements in it that were in keeping with the program. The architect will now take this information, along with the requirements of the landmarking of the building, and work to come up with some options for the Design Team to review. Our next meeting will be on July 8. We will have two other meetings during the summer as we continue to refine the design. There will also be meetings with the Landmarks Architectural Review Committee, so they are kept abreast of the design progress and can give input as it relates to the landmarking of the building. There will also be a meeting with the Seattle School Board sometime in the next month to inform them of the progrss of the project. Their approval is not required, at this point, to move forward; this meeting would just be for information purposes. I will continue to keep everyone informed. Please keep in mind the importance of the murals and the organ, and the need for fund raising. |
