Dear Friends of Dahl Playfield,

As many of you know, we are about to submit additional grant requests for funds necessary to complete the Dahl Playfield Project. Each grant has a community match requirement, largely met by volunteer hours paid at $15/hour.

PLEASE CONSIDER PLEDGING AT LEAST 20 HOURS OVER THE NEXT 6 MONTHS

On Jan 18th we submit another “Small and Simple” grant for $15,000 to pay for the construction documents required to plan the details of the playground construction efforts. A small amount of this total will also be used to solicit public art proposals. This grant requires a total of $9,000 community match, largely met through volunteer hours: time spent attending meetings, contributing to the design ideas for the playground, researching construction cost estimates, researching additional funding sources, etc. Many of you pledged hours to the first grant and will recall that this is the way we let the City know we are committed to this effort. Please send me an email stating you pledge X number of hours to the “Dahl Playfield Construction Planning Project” over the next 6 months.
