LAST CHANCE TO INFLUENCE THE SCHOOL BOARD’S SALE OF MAPLELEAF FIELD AT N.E. 100TH STREET AND 32ND AVENUE

If you would like for the field to remain open space, hopefully a playing field with gardens and parking for the church, you can help by doing any or preferably ALL of the following IMMEDIATELY:

Have each adult in your household sign the Maple Leaf Field Open Space On-line Petition at: http://gopetition.com/info.php?petid=1994. If you do not have Internet access, contact 206-526-2970 and with your permission, we will go on-line and sign the petition for you.
Plan to attend the School Board’s hearing on whether to sell the property on Wednesday, May 7th at 4:00 p.m. at the John Stanford Center Auditorium, 2445 Third Avenue South, Seattle. To sign up to speak for three minutes, call 252-0040. To meet your neighbors and participate in a car pool, call: 206-526-2970.
Contact the School Board and let them know your reasons for wanting the field to remain open space. Ask them to retain ownership or at least delay the sale.
Please let the Open Space Committee know if you are planning on attending the hearing and/or have contacted the School Board. Indicate if you’d like to join the committee or be kept informed.
