03/11/02 The Friends of Pinehurst Playfield are in the process of submitting a grant to the City of Seattle for $150,000, half of what we need to renovate the playground, the other half will be raised by grants, donations and volunteer labor. That's where you can help us right now! We need to have 1522 volunteer hours committed, which equals $18,264 toward our fundraising effort. If you (and members of your family) are willing to donate a minimum of 4 hours during the Spring 2003 to help with planting, construction, demolition or play equipment installation, please send me an email by March 14th, so we can show the City that we have support.
