Meadowbrook Pond has circulation problems mainly caused by the sewer line that runs the length of the pond. SPU will be conducting red dye tests for the next several months to determine the circulation patterns in the pond, so that we can investigate alternatives to remediate the stagnant conditions that occur periodically at the pond. During the dye tests, the pond and stream may have a reddish tint.Therefore, we are sending out notices to local residents, schools, police, fire and other groups so that they are not alarmed. Signs will also be posted at Meadowbrook Pond informing the public about the test program.
