04/03/02 On Monday (4/1/02) afternoon, the RHS Design Team met from 3:00PM to 6:00PM. The purpose of this meeting was to brainstorm some adjacencies of the various elements of the school. We broke up into five groups, and glued our ideas onto a board using different colored paper for various elements of the school. We then had a break, and began again discussing if we had groupings of classrooms in the school, how those elements would look. Much discussion occurred concerning both of these exercises. It was also apparant that some of the participants were getting very specific in their thinking, when we were to be thinking in broad terms. I suspose it was a good exercise to "think out of the box". Then each of our ideas were presented to the group as a whole. The architects took note of the reoccurring themes in each groups plans. The architects will be having two all day meetings with the RHS staff, and then our group will be meeting again on April 22. DO NOT FORGET THE LANDMARK MEETING ON APRIL 17, AT 3:30 IN THE ARTIC BUILDING DOWNTOWN. Andrea Wilson
